I think there is an option on your or the person you want to block's profile to block it.You can't block yours but you can do that to others.
How to block any one's orkut profile?
You can block another user from sending you scraps, messages, invitations, friend requests, and testimonials by adding that user to your ignore list. The ignore list is visible to you and other users won't know who's on your ignore list.
To ignore a user, visit their profile. Point the mouse to the more link in the left sidebar and click ignore user
Ignoring a person wont let you prevet him from viewing your profile.It prevents him/her from sending you messages, friend request, scraps,etc. you can hide your scrapbook, album, testimonials,
feeds, videos etc from those who are not in your
friend-list.
